Indianhead Motorcycle Club has been a part of the Red Wing community since the late 1940s, having held motorcycle hillclimb events at the same location since 1949. As a non-profit organization that promotes a family sport, we strive to actively improve the community we share with our friends and neighbors.
To that end, IMC supports local charitable organizations – like the local youth baseball program and the Red Wing Area Food Shelf, among others. Recently we were surprised to learn that we’d been nominated for a Congressional recognition award that, frankly, we didn’t even know existed.
On Feb. 17th, IMC President Dan Prebe, Secretary Sheryl Marking, and Webmaster Kaleb Northrup were honored to accept the “Star of the North” award from Congressman John Kline who is the representative for Minnesota’s 2nd district.

Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition
We’re honored and humbled by the nomination and the award, and are proud to be a part of our community – and it gives us great pleasure to be able to provide support to worthy local charities as we have done in the past, and will continue to do in the future. Our thanks to Congressman Kline for his recognition!

Stay tuned to this space to see what we conjure up for next year. Thanks!
There’s few things more frustrating to a racer or fan than making the trek to the hillclimb one soggy morning, only to discover that the event’s been canceled when you get there…and you just have to turn around and drive back home.
IMC has just signed up to use the RainedOut SMS (texting) service, which is free to use, and will enable us to immediately notify our competitors and spectators in the event that an event has to be postponed or canceled. Just click the RainedOut image on the sidebar, or text “imcredwing” to 84483 to subscribe to the service. And then that’s it – you’ll get any message we send out – which is a lot better than driving all the way here before you find out that there’s not gonna be a race that day.
Get your entry forms in for the hill drags! There will be no race-day signup or changes. Entries must be received by Sept. 13th.
